Steven Kaitz was born in Boston and has lived in Newton and Brookline his whole life. He graduated from Roxbury Latin School and finished his education at Trinity College. He has been a part of the family business, National Lumber, forever and has been co-owner and CEO with his sister for over 45 years.
Steven is a Tri-President of Congregation Mishkan Tefila, where he went to Hebrew School. He currently serves on the Board of New England Village in Pembroke, MA, a community of adult men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where his cousin has lived for the past 40 years. Steven was a long-time member of the Board at Beaver Country Day School and currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Developmental Committee at CJP. At JF&CS, he is a member of the Business Advisory Committee.
Steven enjoys theater, movies, all sports, and travel. Steven met his wife, Suzanne, on the dance floor at a Boston club 27 years ago and got married 2 years later. They have one daughter, Emma, who lives in New York City and is a recent graduate of Columbia with a Master’s in Social Work.
