Board of Directors
Jose Fridman is an Engineering Vice President at Qualcomm, a multinational company that creates technology for a wirelessly connected world, autonomous driving and multimedia experiences. Prior to his tenure at Qualcomm, Jose was with Analog Devices, Inc, developing platforms for wireless handsets. He holds 30 U.S. granted patents in the areas of DSP architecture and communications, and over 40 academic publications. Jose received his Ph.D. degree in computer engineering and a master’s degree in computer and communications engineering from Northeastern University, and also a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Boston University. Prior to joining the board, Jose volunteered for Family Table with his children and serves on JF&CS’s Committee for Basic Needs Assistance. An avid tennis player, he is a board member at Wightman Tennis Center. Originally from Mexico City, Jose lives with his wife, Nanette, and two children in Newton.
