JF&CS Employment Services creates meaningful and fulfilling employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and those who are neurodivergent, allowing them to lead productive and integrated lives in their communities and increasing their feelings of self-worth and confidence.
JF&CS Employment Services advances the inclusion of people with disabilities throughout all sectors of the workforce, providing support and education to dissolve negative stereotypes and stigmas.
Our approach
Our approach is hands-on and highly individualized:
- We take time to understand each client’s personal interests, skills, and support needs.
- We work directly with employers to find or create meaningful employment opportunities for our clients.
- We stay engaged throughout the client’s tenure with an employer, providing comprehensive supports that ensure long-term success for clients and employers alike.
Services
- Skill/interest assessment
- Access to certifications and other educational opportunities related to employment goals
- Resumé development
- Job search and networking support
- Interview training, practice, and support
- Job development and matching
- Intensive initial job coaching including fading and natural supports development
- Check-in support to assist the individual in maintaining successful employment, positive employer relationships, and to develop potential growth opportunities
- Support and education around social security and other public benefits that may be affected by gaining earned income
We also offer workplace training to employers to help them create an inclusive environment for people with disabilities.
JF&CS is able to provide this service through DDS funding as well as through private pay and philanthropy.
