Our Services
Pathways to Employment is a program sponsored by the Jewish community to help people with disabilities gain the skills needed to be independent and successful at work.
The program is for adults who are motivated to work but need to develop workplace soft skills, such as:
- Effective communication
- Problem solving
- Time management and personal organization
- Following instructions
- Professionalism and work ethic
- Networking
Programming combines interactive classroom sessions with opportunities to practice and reinforce new skills in community volunteer settings with staff support. There are typically six individuals in each group. Participants should be able to be independent in the community without constant supervision and frequent cueing and commit to attending three days a week either Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays or Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our Brighton or Canton locations. Participants typically use the RIDE to get to and from the program, although the Brighton location is also accessible by the MBTA bus and train.
