Helping neurodivergent adults build skills for independent living and employment.

The JF&CS Skill Building Programs provide individualized support to adults with disabilities, helping them build or enhance their independent living skills. We serve adults aged 18 and older, with or without a formal disability diagnosis, who are interested in gaining the skills necessary for greater independence. We specialize in serving adults who are neurodiverse, including individuals with autism and/or who have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Our services are available to individuals residing in the Greater Boston area, specifically within the I-95 corridor.

Each participant in the program receives a comprehensive clinical assessment to identify their unique strengths and areas of need. Following this, individuals collaborate with a case manager to set personal goals and receive ongoing support tailored to help them achieve those objectives. Services are delivered based on individual preferences and may take place at home, in the community, or at work. Individuals receive 3 to 10 hours of support per week based on the needs of the individual.

Our programs focus on the following key areas:

Supported Living

Commitment to Independence

The staff working in our Skill Building Programs have specialized training in supporting adults with disabilities. They use a clinically informed approach to both teach essential life skills and offer emotional support throughout the process of achieving personal goals.

Our goal is to empower individuals to live more independently, accentuate their right to choice, build meaningful relationships, and achieve personal success in the workplace. Through dedicated support and individualized services, we help clients reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, self-directed lives.
