The Ride for Food challenges teams of bike riders and walkers to raise money to support those facing food insecurity in our communities. In Massachusetts, 1 in 3 households and children are impacted by hunger every day. The Ride for Food's goal is to support those struggling, while building a community of hunger relief partners and raising awareness of this critical issue.
The JF&CS Family Table team is excited to participate in the 12th annual Ride for Food. Our goal this year is to have a team of at least 50 team members and to raise $80,000.
Where does your donation go?
In short: directly to Family Table, to help people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. With your help, Family Table will provide fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain products and other healthy foods to more than 500 families every month in the coming year.
What can you do to help?
Cycle or walk with us on October 1st or you choose any activity you like to show your commitment to fighting hunger! No matter what activity you choose, you'll be helping us in the fight against hunger.
Ways to participate
- 25 or 50 mile bike routes, or new this year, a 62.5 mile route (Century ride)
- 5K walk
- Virtual "Off the Beaten Path": choose any activity to complete at a time of your choosing and dedicate your fundraising to Family Table. Since this year's event falls on the second day of Sukkot, this is a great way to participate and support Family Table if you are observing the holiday.
