Applying
Here at JF&CS, we work to dismantle biased systems and remove blind spots that discourage applications, hiring, and professional satisfaction from members of all traditionally-underrepresented communities. Our services are utilized and valued by people of every race, religion, orientation, gender identity, ability level, and economic advantage. If our organization is less diverse than our clients, we are hindered in our ability to reach our full potential, both individually and collectively. We actively seek diversity, equity and inclusivity because a multiplicity of voices and perspectives strengthens our practice in irreplaceable ways every day.
Resumes are required for all applications at JF&CS. In some cases, a position will also request, or require, a cover letter. Cover letters are a great way to demonstrate how your experience relates to the position, especially if you don’t meet every requirement in the listing. Some of our best team members have been hired from different fields or from unique academic and professional backgrounds. We look forward to hearing from candidates with transferable skills and opportunities for growth.
“Even when I am feeling the most depleted, I still have the ability to connect with someone…(JF&CS is) empathic. There’s no judgment. There’s just, ‘I hear you. I see you. I’m connecting with you.’ That’s empathy.”
- Robert Nagler Miller, participant, JF&CS Bereavement Support Group
