Support Groups

These free groups meet once a week at a set time and location and provide support for mothers of babies (birth-1 year old) and help them to begin to build a community of mothers. The model of the groups is based on the philosophy of empowering each mother in finding her own way, rather than giving specific advice. Included in the schedule of New Mothers Groups is the Mothers of Twins, Triplets and More, the Gay & Lesbian New Parents Group and This Isn't What I Expected, a post-partum adjustment group.

In addition to these groups, the Center for Early Relationship occasionally offers the following short-term groups: Mothering without a Model, Motherless Mothers, Infant Sleep Issues and Post-International Adoption.
