The Disabilities Resource Network (DRN) is an information and referral service, serving people with disabilities in the Greater Boston area. The goal of the DRN is to help people with disabilities find programs and services within the community that are accessible, and offer opportunities for the fullest level of participation possible. An experienced professional works with callers to find services and programs related to religious life, education, social/recreation, housing, legal/advocacy, vocational or any aspect of life in the community. This service is non-sectarian and free of charge.

The DRN works closely with agencies and providers within the Greater Boston Jewish community to ensure consumers will have access to the most up-to-date information about services and programs that are available. In addition, the DRN works closely with New England Index (MNIP) and other agencies to provide information for people regardless of cultural, ethnic or religious background and provide information and referral services at no cost to the consumer.

Since its inception in May of 2001, the Disabilities Resource Network has become an important centralized resource for individuals with disabilities, their families and agencies that provide services. We have responded to over 1,200 calls. Whether the need is in the area of social/recreational services, housing/residential services, advocacy, education, adapted equipment, financial, vocational or any other need that has been identified, the DRN is the first place people can turn to when looking for information that will enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
